Eurozone investor morale improves in March – Sentix
Investor morale in the eurozone surged in March, with the Sentix index rising to -2.9 from -12.7 in February, beating analyst expectations of -8.4.
Economic expectations hit their highest level since July 2021, climbing to 18.0 from 1.0, according to a survey of 1,097 investors conducted from March 6-8.
The improvement was driven by Germany’s plans for debt-financed investments in defence and infrastructure.
Investor sentiment in Germany saw a sharp rise, with expectations jumping 26.3 points to 20.5. However, Sentix noted a contrasting decline in investor confidence in the United States.
