Mr Ahmed Al Wakeel, Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Chamber of Commerce, has unveiled that the federation is discussing the issue of paying compensations to the owners of the shops damaged in Souq Libya, Marsa Matrou, and in Talaat Harb Mall, which was blazed at the beginning of March.
A number of critical issues will be discussed during the meeting today, regarding the new headquarters of the federation, Al Wakeel said, adding that the federation has agreed to pay EGP 100.000 to 10 chambers of commerce, which classified the first, which the second level will receive EGP 50.000; 15 chambers.
The meeting will include meetings with some ambassadors of the African countries to look into the ways of enhancing the economic cooperation with these countries. In addition, the meetings will discuss the demand of Cairo Chamber of Commerce, which is about increasing EGP 5 on every certificate of origin to reach EGP 25.
