The Federation of the Egyptian Industries (FEI) is to join the 13th African Regional Meeting of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Sherif El-Gabaly- board and executive member- said Wednesday.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad, El-Gebaly stated that FEI is participating among the Egyptian mission -headed by manpower minister Gamal Sorour – that encompasses a number of governmental figures and representatives of business associations.
The 13th African Regional Meeting of the International Labour Organization (ILO) will be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, home to the African Union Commission and to the UN Economic Commission for Africa, from 30 November to 3 December 2015.
El-Gebaly stated that FEI is to hold a preparatory meeting tomorrow to discuss the latest preparations for its participation and draw up a paperwork for the meetings.
He added that FEI is keen on joining all events that take place in Africa so as to improve the Egyptian relations with African countries.
The Meeting will bring together ILO’s tripartite constituents – governments, employers and workers – along with the political, economic and social actors of the world of work in Africa, to address the imperative of promoting an inclusive and job-rich growth through decent work in Africa.
The 13th African Regional Meeting is to undertake a final review of progress made on the implementation of the “Decent Work Agenda in Africa, 2007-15” and to discuss and agree on strategic vision for the ILO in the Africa region.
