Ferrari launches Purosangue as first SUV from Italian manufacturer
Ferrari has unveiled on Tuesday its Purosangue SUV a new four-door, four-seat vehicle indicating that the car retains the characteristics of the basic sports cars of the brand.
This car presents a different shape that combines the highest standards of dynamism and luxury.
Purosangui is powered by a 6.5-liter, 715-horsepower V-12 engine that is mounted behind the front axle, rather than over it as with most SUVs and crossovers.
This distributes the vehicle’s weight almost evenly among the four wheels, improving its handling, Ferrari added.
The new model looks like Porsche and Maserati SUV cars, but despite its size, shape and higher stance, the company insists that the Purosangue is a sports car, designed from the ground up as a true Ferrari.
