The financial position of banks in Egypt, other than the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), rose by EGP 96.5 billion (7.6%), registering EGP 1.366 trillion at the end of FY 2011/2012, up from EGP 1.269 at the end of FY 2010/2011.
The Egyptian banking sector’s capital reached EGP 67.3 billion, reserves registered 25.5 billion and provisions registered EGP 54.1 billion at the end of June 2012.
