Lawyer Mohamed Hamed Salem filed the first lawsuit before the administrative court against Egypt’s President; calling for halting the decision No. 11/2012 issued in July 8, 2012, which concerns reinstating the People’s Assembly and violating the verdict of the Supreme Constitutional court.
The lawsuit elaborated that this decision issued by the president as an executive power, so it is considered as an administrative decision that can be challenged before the administrative court for violating law and the constitutional declaration.
The reason to challenge the decision, as the lawsuit elaborated, is overturning the decision for violating the verdict of the Supreme constitutional court No. 20/1937 issued in June 14, 2012. The decision proves for unconstitutionality of paragrapg1 of Article 3 of law No. 38/1972, which changed for law No. 120/2011.
