Egypt’s Food Industries Chamber develops 70 SMES through Ezdhar scheme
Egyptian Chamber of Food Industries promoted 70 small and medium enterprises through Ezdhar programme which has been launched by the chamber since January 2018, its chairman, Ashraf El-Gazayerli said.
CFI has also trained ten business growth consultants by receiving a training of trainers on how to scale SGBs in the food processing industry which covers developing customized scale up plans and working with the Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) on their investment readiness process, he added.
Gazayerli made those comments during a workshop celebrating the third round of Ezdehar.
Ezdehar aims to scale up the growth of 100 small and growing businesses (SGBs) in the food processing sector through the ‘promotion of small and medium enterprises’ (PSME) and promotion of access to financial services to SMEs (PAFSME).
The programme is implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade while funded and supervised by German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
