Foreign investment in Egypt treasuries hit $22 billion end-Dec.
Foreign investment in Egyptian treasuries rose to $22 billion by the end of December, Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said on Monday.
Foreign investment in Egyptian government debt instruments was $20 billion at the end of August.
Appetite for Egypt’s domestic debt are growing given the successful completion of tough economic reforms tied to a three-year, $12 billion loan program with the IMF agreed in late 2016, Maait said.
