Egypt’s former investment minister Dr. Osama Saleh said on Tuesday he would take up the same post in the country’s interim government headed by Dr. Hazem el-Beblawi.
“I have accepted the position of investment minister,” Saleh told reporters in Cairo.
Interim Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawi is putting together a cabinet largely of technocrats and liberals after the army ousted President Mohamed Morsi on July 3 following mass demonstrations against the Brotherhood-led president.
