France: ICU admission rates continue to fall for the 13th day in a row
The number of patients admitted to intensive care units (ICU) – due to complications linked to the coronavirus pandemic – in France has dropped for the 13th consecutive day, a health official said on Tuesday.
Speaking at his daily press conference in Paris, Jerome Salomon – the director of France’s health agency – gave an overview of where things stand now.
To date, there have been at 117,324 confirmed coronavirus cases in France, including deaths and recoveries, Salomon said.
At least 30,106 patients are currently hospitalized, he added.
In addition, he said there are at least 5,433 patients are in intensive care units.
