France says number of coronavirus patients in ICU continues to fall

The number of coronavirus patients in intensive care units (ICU) in France has continued to steadily fall since April 9, according to data released by the French health ministry on Wednesday.

The ministry said there are currently 3,147 coronavirus patients in ICU in the country as of Wednesday, down by 283 from the day before.

A total of 23,983 people are hospitalised with coronavirus in France as of Wednesday, down by 792 from the day before, the ministry added.
