France to order more than 1 billion face masks, mostly from China to fight coronavirus

France will buy more than 1 billion face masks, the vast majority from China, as part of efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus, the country’s health minister Olivier Veran said on Saturday.
Veran said France was using 40 million face masks weekly as it battles the pandemic and currently has three weeks of supplies.
