France’s private sector stabilises in July
France’s private sector showed signs of stabilisation in July, due to renewed growth in the services sector, supported by the upcoming Olympic Games and the conclusion of the election period.
However, manufacturing continued to struggle, recording its fastest contraction since January.
The HCOB Flash France Composite PMI rose from 48.2 in June to 49.5 in July, indicating a marginal contraction.
Meanwhile, business confidence dipped to its lowest level this year, with firms facing higher input costs and output prices.
