Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum is studying co-operation opportunities in the fields of trade, transport and distribution of natural gas with Greece’s Copelouzos Group, an Egyptian Cabinet statement said on Sunday.
To this effect, Egypt’s Minster of Petroleum, Tarek al-Molla, has received Chairman of the Greek Copelouzos Group, Dimitrios Ch. Copelouzos, to discuss means to implement a number of infrastructure projects in Egypt in co-operation with the Greek Prometheus Gas S.A.
al-Molla highlighted that Egypt had a strong infrastructure in the field of natural gas, which has enabled it to become a pivotal starting point for the world’s gas from the Eastern Mediterranean region.
Meanwhile, Mr. Dimitrios Ch. Copelouzos stated That the main objective of Prometheus Gas S.A. was to explore investment opportunities to implement projects in the field of gas and renewable energy.
