FRU Energean Force ready for Arab Gas Pipeline link

The floating regasification unit (FRU) Energean Force arrived on Saturday at Aqaba Port, Jordan, as part of the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy to increase production and secure Egypt’s energy needs.

The unit is set to be connected to the Arab Gas Pipeline (between Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon) helping to compensate for any gas shortfall in the Egyptian network.

Arab Gas Pipeline is an ambitious project connecting Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria gas networks to achieve integration, according to information available on Jordan’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources website.
