The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that Al-Quds hospital is facing an acute shortage of fuel and was expected to run out of fuel on Wednesday, as the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) still refuse to allow fuel enter Gaza Strip.
PRCS further added in a statement published on Wednesday that there is a severe shortage off medical supplies, medicines, and a significant lack of food and drinking water for medical staff, patients, and the wounded.
It also published a video showing the damage caused by the IOF targeting of the vicinity around the Al-Quds Hospital multiple times in the past period. “This intense shelling has caused significant damage to the building and injuries to patients and dozens of internally displaced people.”
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society called for urgent international assistance, as it said on Monday that an aircraft “targeted the vicinity of the Al-Quds Hospital with two rockets, approximately 50 meters from the hospital’s gate.”
The United Nations says an estimated 117,000 displaced people, in addition to patients and hospital staff, are in the hospitals still operational in Gaza City and northern Gaza.
🚨📢 The @PalestineRCS urgently appeals to international health and humanitarian organizations to swiftly provide vital assistance and essential supplies to the #Gaza governorate and the northern region.
