General Company for Silos and storage – a part of general businesses sector- is going to market 100,000 tons of local wheat, including 50,000 tons to the General Authority for Supply Commodities for the benefit of the supported bread loaf.
Adel Hashim -managing director of financial and administrative affairs of the company- said that the policy of the state for the current year is to reduce the importation of wheat from abroad and increase the area that is under the cultivation of wheat.
He pointed out that the authority has received 4 million tons of wheat from farmers all over the Republic, and the silos company marketed 100,000 tons of them in 2011.
