Georges Hobeika becomes first designer to exhibit at Baalbek Temple
Georges Hobeika became the world’s first-ever fashion house to showcase a Prêt-à-Porter collection at Lebanon’s Temple of Baalbek on Friday.
The Baalbek Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Lebanon’s most prominent historical sites.
Hobeika is a Lebanese multinational luxury fashion house created by Lebanese-born designer Georges Hobeika.
The house is known for designing ready-to-wear and couture clothing.
His most recent collection was named the Goddess of Love collection, and it seeked to shed the light on Lebanese heritage.
The fashion house announced that the show’s proceeds will go to the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon.
The show combined history, fashion, and culture to match the two-thousand-year old Temple of Baalbek.
