Georgia-Russia trade declines in 10m of ’24

Georgia’s trade with Russia fell by 16.1 per cent in the first ten months of 2024, totalling around $2 billion. Russia is Georgia’s second-largest trading partner, making up 10.8 per cent of its total foreign trade.

While exports to Russia decreased by 3.8 per cent to $580.2 million, imports from Russia marginally declined by 0.01 per cent to $1.48 billion.

Turkey continues to hold the top spot as Georgia’s largest trading partner, with trade volume exceeding $2.63 billion, a 7.2 per cent increase year-on-year. The United States ranks second, followed by China, Germany, and Azerbaijan.
