Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al- Sisi arrives to the Bellevue Castle to meet the German President Joachim Gauck as a start to the official meetings of his ‘busy’ schedule as a presidential statement said on Tuesday.
Gauck has received the Egyptian president and accompanied him to the Bellevue Palace where the Egyptian-German Economic Forum set to be held.
Al-Sisi is expected to give a speech during the closing session of the forum and set to meet with several officials, including the German foreign minister.
Al-Sisi is also set to meet Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday, to discuss bilateral relations and recent developments in the Middle East.
Among the mission accompanying the president were Mohab Mamish-chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Mohamed Hegazy -Egypt’s Ambassador to Berlin.
Moreover, Upon El-Sisi’s arrival to Berlin, dozens of pro-Sisi Egyptians were seen in footage shown on Egyptian state television, holding Egyptian and German flags and chanting in support of the president.
