German Government has earmarked 270 million euros for financing development projects in Yemen, said Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle on Saturday.
The minister, speaking at a news conference held shortly before his due departure to Yemen, indicated that the assistance was allocated for Yemeni societies.
Step-down of the former president, Ali Abdullah Saleh, has paved way for a new chapter in the political life of Yemen, according to KUNA, he said.
The German government is ready to offer all needed aid for Yemeni plans to boost stability and democracy for the nation, he added.
The minister is flying to Yemen before visiting Saudi Arabia.
