Germany’s exports to W. Balkans up from Jan to Aug. ’24
Germany’s exports to the Western Balkan countries reached €5.8 billion from January to August 2024, marking an increase of €0.4 billion, or 8.2 per cent, compared to the same period in 2023.
Since the first Western Balkans Summit in 2014, exports to the region, which includes Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Kosovo, have surged by €3.5 billion, or 148.5 per cent.
Talks to integrate the Western Balkan nations more closely with the European Union (EU) have been ongoing since 2014, aiming to strengthen economic and political ties between the region and the EU.
