Germany’s inflation eases in August

Germany’s national inflation decreased to 1.9 per cent in August 2024 from 2.3 per cent in July 2024, based on provisional data.

Core inflation in August 2024 saw a decline of 0.1 per cent from 2.9 per cent in July, while August’s EU-harmonised inflation fell to 2 per cent from 2.6 per cent in July.
