Germany’s inflation hits 2.6% for July
Germany’s Harmonised inflation, which provides a comparison with other EU countries, shows a 2.6 per cent annual increase for July 2024 and a 0.5 per cent rise from the previous month.
Germany’s inflation rate for July 2024 is projected at 2.3 per cent, reflecting a year-on-year increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), according to provisional data, which represents a 0.3 per cent rise from June 2024.
Core inflation, excluding food and energy, is anticipated to be 2.9 per cent, indicating a higher cost increase for non-essential goods and services.
