Ghana’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) for July 2024 reached 231.0, marking a substantial rise from 191.0 in July 2023, as per a government data released on Wednesday.
This increase corresponds to a year-on-year inflation rate of 20.9 per cent, indicating that the general price level in July 2024 was 20.9 per cent higher than the same month the previous year. Additionally, on a month-on-month (MoM) basis, inflation between June and July 2024 saw a rise of 2.1 per cent.
