Ghana supports Egypt’s Nomination for UNSC Seat

Ghana’s Foreign Minister Hanna Tetteh on Saturday 1/8/2015 assured to Egypt’s Ambassador in Accra Mohamed Haidar that her country’s support for Cairo’s nomination for a non-permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for 2016/2017.

Ghana’s support comes as part of the close historical relations binding the two countries and the cooperation and coordination at the regional and international forums, the Ghanaian minister said.

She asserted her country’s trust in the pioneering role and great diplomatic experience of Egypt in serving Africa’s interests.
