Ghana’s consumer inflation (CPI) rose for the third consecutive month in November, reaching 23.0 per cent year-on-year (YoY), up from 22.1 per cent in October, according to the latest data from the statistics service.
Government statistician Samuel Kobina Annim attributed the rise to increasing food prices, particularly vegetables, tubers, and plantains. Last week, the central bank kept its main interest rate at 27.00 per cent in response to the persistently high inflation.
