Ghazl EL Mahalla Strike Goes on 2nd Day
The strike of Ghazl El Mahalla Co. workers is on the second day. More than 25.000 workers of the company participate in the strike; calling for deposing the holding company board’s chairman, Fouad Abdel Aleem, and setting the wages’ minimum limit, not less EGP 1500 per month. They also are calling for spending 3 months wage for each year at the end of the service, spending the annual profits with the value of 12 months wage per year; to be equal to the workers of the holding company. Also they are demanding the increase of the periodic increment to a maximum limit of 10%.
The workers refused the interference of Muslim Brotherhood and April 6th Youth Movement in their strike. They dismissed both of Mohamed Al Adly and Mahmoud Tawfiq, members of the dissolved PA of Freedom and Justice Party, and their supporters. They refused spreading leaflets in the strike entitled”6th Youth Movement”.
