Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab said that Egypt will play a prominent role in the US-Africa summit, which kicked off in Washington on Monday.
During the event, Mahlab is expected to expound the Egyptian role in achieving sustainable development in Africa and developing its resources.
The Egyptian premier said he will hold several meetings on the sidelines of the conference with the US secretary of state as well as the Egyptian community in the US.
He said that he responded to the request of a number of giant US companies to hold a meeting to get acquainted with the situation in Egypt to invest in a number of projects in the country.
The Egyptian delegation will comprise Trade Minister Mounir Fakhri Abdel-Nour, Finance Minister Hani Qadri, and Investment Minister Ashraf Salman.
