GIG Egypt Insurance to request new credit rating from A.M. Best

Egypt’s Arab Misr Insurance Group – GIG will start next month negotiations with A.M. Best rating agency to receive a new credit rating, its managing director Alaa El Zoheiry said Monday.

A.M. Best is the world’s oldest and most authoritative insurance rating and information source.

In 2015, A.M. Best affirmed the financial strength rating of B++ (Good) and issuer credit rating of “BBB” of Arab Misr Insurance Group (GIG-Egypt) with stable outlook for both ratings.
