Global coronavirus cases pass 2 million: Johns Hopkins University

The number of global coronavirus cases has topped 2 million on Monday, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. The death toll hit nearly 120,000.

The U.S. has more cases than any other country across the world, according to the university, with 682,619 confirmed infections. Spain, with nearly 170,000 confirmed cases, is second.

China, where the outbreak emerged, has recorded 82,000 cases.
