Global coronavirus cases surpass 3.2 million, death toll more than 233,000
The number of global coronavirus cases on Thursday has surpassed 3.2 million, with more than 233,000 people died from the virus, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
The United States reported the highest number of cases, with over 1 million infections and more than 62,000 deaths, Hopkins data showed.
Earlier this week, the country’s coronavirus death toll surpassed American fatalities from the Vietnam War.
Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany remain some of the worst-hit countries after the U.S., the data added.
