Global gold supply climbed to 1,258.2 tons in the second quarter of 2024, a 4 per cent growth compared to the same period in the previous year, when supply totaled 1,207.9 tons, a World Gold Council report showed on Tuesday.
Additionally, there was a notable quarter-on-quarter increase, with supply rising from 1,183.1 tons in the first quarter of 2024.
Meanwhile, the global gold demand surged by 4 per cent year-on-year to 1,258.2 tons in the second quarter of 2024, up from 1,207.9 tons in the same quarter of 2023, according to the Council’s report.
