Gold prices ease as markets eye G7

Gold prices dropped on Monday as investors assessed the Israel-Iran conflict and awaited the Group of Seven (G7) leaders’ meeting and the upcoming US Federal Reserve policy decision.

Spot gold dropped 0.52 per cent to $3,414.69 per ounce by 12:26 GMT, down from a previous close of $3,432.64. US gold futures fell 0.55 per cent to $3,433.95 per ounce, compared to $3,452.8 at the close on Friday.
