Gold prices ease in Egypt today, Thursday, 2 April, 2026
Gold prices in Egypt edged lower on Thursday, even as investors sought safe-haven assets amid rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
By 16:41 Cairo time (14:44 GMT), 24-carat gold was trading at about 8,200 Egyptian pounds per gram, down 74.25 pounds, or 0.9 per cent, from 8,274.25 pounds on Wednesday.
