Gold prices in Egypt fell on Tuesday, 3 March, despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East involving Israel, the United States, and Iran, which have generally driven investors towards safe-haven assets, according to official pricing data.
By 16:01 Cairo time (14:01 GMT), 24-carat gold was trading at 8,428.5 Egyptian pounds per gram, down 154.5 pounds, or 1.8 per cent, from 8,583 pounds on Monday. Other gold grades showed similar declines:
