Gold prices in Egypt fell on Monday even as investors sought safe-haven assets amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East involving Israel, the United States, and Iran.
By 15:09 Cairo time (13:09 GMT), 24-carat gold was trading at 8,485.5 Egyptian pounds per gram, down 114.5 pounds, or 1.33 per cent, from Sunday’s 8,600 pounds. Other gold grades recorded similar declines:
