Gold prices in Egypt dropped on Thursday, tracking movements in international bullion markets and the local currency, according to official data.
By 15:58 p.m. Cairo time (13:58 GMT), the price of 24-carat gold had fallen by 63 Egyptian pounds, or 0.84 per cent, to 7,394.25 pounds per gram, compared with 7,457.25 pounds at the close on Wednesday.
Prices for other gold grades posted similar gains.

Gold prices in Egypt generally move in line with global bullion prices, as well as fluctuations in the US dollar exchange rate and domestic supply and demand conditions.
