Gold prices in Egypt slipped on Wednesday, even as investors worldwide continued to seek safe-haven assets amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East involving Israel, the United States and Iran.
By 15:09 Cairo time (13:09 GMT), 24-carat gold was trading at 8,257.25 Egyptian pounds per gram, down 228.25 pounds, or 2.69 per cent, from Tuesday’s 8,485.5 pounds. Other grades recorded similar declines:
