Gold prices in Egypt fell on Wednesday, bucking the usual investor trend toward safe-haven assets amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East involving Israel, the United States, and Iran.
By 16:05 Cairo time (14:01 GMT), 24-carat gold was trading at 8,331.5 Egyptian pounds per gram, down 97 pounds, or 1.15 per cent, from Tuesday’s 8,428.5 pounds. Other gold grades also posted similar declines:
