Gold prices in Egypt hike by EGP 15 per gram, 21-carat gold at 915
Gold prices globally has topped $2,000 (£1,527) an ounce for the first time as traders look for havens amid the pandemic.
Gold prices in Egypt today jumped by 15 Egyptian pounds ($94) per gram; the price of 21-carat gold, the most popular in the local market, rose to around 910 Egyptian pounds for the first time in history.

The one gram of of 24-carat gold registered EGP 1045.7, a new record high, said Ehab Wassef, the deputy head of the gold division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce said.
