Gold prices in Egypt increase by EGP 4 per gram, 21-carat gold at EGP861
Gold prices in Egypt today increased 4 Egyptian pounds ($0.25) per gram; the price of 21-carat gold, the most popular in the local market, rose to around 861 pounds compared 857 pounds yesterday.
Global Gold prices rose on Monday as the dollar eased, rebounding from initial declines following a steep drop in the previous week.
The one gram of of 24-carat gold registered EGP982 said Ehab Wassef, the deputy head of the gold division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce said.
He added that it is difficult to predict the price of gold in Egypt.
