Gold prices in Egypt surged on Sunday as investors sought safe-haven assets amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East involving Israel, the United States, and Iran.
By 15:35 Cairo time (13:35 GMT), 24-carat gold was trading at 8,600 Egyptian pounds per gram, up 400 pounds, or 4.88 per cent, from Thursday’s 8,200 pounds. Other gold grades recorded similar gains:
