Gold prices in Egypt rise at start of 2026
Gold prices in Egypt opened the first trading session of 2026 higher on Sunday, mirroring gains in international markets, official pricing data showed.
By 4:51 p.m. local time (14:51 GMT), 24-carat gold rose 28.5 pounds, or 0.43 per cent, to 6,725.75 Egyptian pounds per gram, compared with 6,697.25 pounds at the previous close on 31 Dec.
