Gold prices in Egypt fell on Monday, 2 March, despite ongoing Middle East tensions involving Israel, the United States, and Iran, which have driven global investors toward safe-haven assets, according to official pricing data.
By 15:10 Cairo time (13:10 GMT), 24-carat gold was trading at 8,583 Egyptian pounds per gram, down 102.50 pounds, or 1.18 per cent, from 8,685.5 pounds on Sunday, 01 March.
Other gold grades posted similar drops.
