Gold prices rebound after three-week low

Gold prices rose on Monday after hitting a more than three-week low in the previous session, benefiting from a weaker dollar and safe-haven demand driven by worries about US President Donald Trump’s tariff measures.

Spot gold prices increased at 1:03 PM GMT by 0.60 per cent to $2,875.69 per ounce, compared to the previous closing price of $2,858.6.

Meanwhile, US gold futures rose 1.31 per cent to $2,885.91 per ounce, compared to Friday’s closing of $2,848.5.
