Gold prices in Egypt rose sharply on Tuesday as investors globally sought safe-haven assets amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East involving Israel, the United States, and Iran.
By 16:38 Cairo time (14:38 GMT), 24-carat gold was trading at 8,211.5 Egyptian pounds per gram, up 457.25 pounds, or 5.90 per cent, from Monday’s 7,754.25 pounds. Other grades recorded similar declines:
