Golden Globes 2021 ceremony postponed by almost two months amid coronavirus pandemic
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced on Monday that it would postpone the 2021 Golden Globes ceremony by two months to April 25, 2021 amid growing concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.
The event was supposed to take place on February 28, 2021.
Actors Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are still set to host the event, which will air live on NBC. The HFPA further said it will provide further details about eligibility, voting, and nomination announcements within the coming weeks.
The Academy Awards, the Creative Arts Emmys, and the Tony Awards have been affected by pandemic. The Primetime Emmys are still set to take place September 20, however, the Television Academy is still trying to determine how to host the event safely.
