Google lining up to open new office in Cairo soon – official
Martin Roseke, public policy and government relations manager at Google for the MENA region, said that growth potentials in Egypt are notable, that the country has a vibrant ecosystem, solid infrastructure, and talent that makes Egypt different from other countries in the Arab region.
Roseke added, in an exclusive interview with Ahram Online on the sidelines of an e-commerce summit held in Cairo Tuesday, that e-commerce and digital transformation in general are a growth engine for Egypt’s economy and can push the country to take a strong strides towards capitalising on the potentials it enjoys.
Martin revealed that due to these potentials, and incentives offered by the Egyptian government, along with the legislative framework parliament adopted for the IT sector, Google is to expand work in Egypt through a Google office that will open soon.
