Cairo Criminal Court has adjourned the corruption trial of Mubarak-era interior minister Habib El-Adly until 14 August.
The adjournment was made after a request by the defendant’s lawyers.
El–Adly is accused of illicitly acquiring LE181 million worth of land and property.
In May 2012, El-Adly was convicted of money laundering and profiteering, for which he was handed a 12-year jail sentence. In March 2013, the Court of Cassation overturned the conviction and ordered a retrial.
